National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation (NIEI) is launching a project on ICT Based TVET Program for Capacity Development of Women in Cambodia, Hair and Beauty Industry which is cooperated with Konyang Cyber University, South Korea. It was funded and Supported by Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training (MLVT) and KOICA and held at Dara Airport Hotel, Phnom Penh on 21st Feb 2019.
H.E Dr. Pich Sophoan, Permanent Secretary of State, MLVT was invited as the chair of the project launch. The participants were from KYCU’s staff and NIEI’s partners such as NGOs: KOICA, World Vision International/Cambodia, PSE, Beauty Salon Associations, CWEA, private enterprises, Mate Enterprise and students.
The aim of the project is to reduce the poverty of Cambodian standard of living especially women. H.E. Dr. Pich Sophoan gave his remark to the project that the TVET and SMEs were the keys to unlock many doors in the world. If we have specialized skills in any fields like beauty salon and hair style, we will promote the employment rate. Because those will continue to start up their business and then provide the jobs to people and can increase the pay rise of the Cambodian standard of living. He also suggested KYCU and South Korea through KOICA to find further collaboration and fund to improve and extend friendship between NIEI and KYCU as well as Cambodia.
